Realizing that the chats are rather late for some, mirror discussions could be held at an earlier time another evening in the week by either a completely new set of people or by someone who attended the first discussion. If anyone is interested please contact me for arrangements to be made.
This week's lifestyle discussion is about the difference between a submissive and slave within the BDSM lifestyle.
Going into this discussion, there are a few guidelines.
1) Agree to disagree
2) If you don't believe in slavery, express that, but don't be disparaging to those that do
3) We acknowledge that BDSM slavery does not compare to RT non-consensual slavery, the American slaves before the Civil War, or whether people can be bought or sold. This is a discussion about the term slavery w/in the context of the BDSM lifestyle, and is a discussion about slavery entered into consensually.
4) Discussion of Gor is welcome. Please either address it as online role play - with the limitations and suspension of disbelief that applies, or address it as RT exploration. If you have never seen or experienced how RT Gor is, please keep assumptions, skepticism, or disbelief quiet and allow those who have experienced it share their experiences.
