I've encountered what I feel is Domspace to a very mild degree, it's a sense of clarity and control beyond what I normally attain in everyday life. I don't normally practice active manipulation of energies as mentioned above (although I've been told I make a pretty good channel for them) so I don't think I'd ever perform such a "ritual" in concordance with a scene. However, I'd gladly call corners and maintain vigil as another did something, as long as I was aware beforehand of what was attempted.
I also know a few T/D/M's who share similar beliefs with their b/s/s, and as a pair have ritually performed a kind of spiritual bond, to affirm their more mundane and emotional bonds. For these couples, their scening reaches more intense states for them and they each seem to be more aware of the others' needs, in scenes and without.
