Noah was not his real name.
Boat was a barge.
Animals were chosen from stock he owned.
Food, water, and building materials were also loaded on the barge.
Flood rose high enough he could no longer see the mountains that were at a distance given that the barge had floated further south.
Noah was a major player in transportation and supply in the area.
I find no proof that God said diddly to Noah, know only that I believe that Divine Intervention can and does happen.
By allowing man to write the stories mans way while making sure the basics stayed true, my Lord followed through on his intention of confusing the Wise.
