Response to Re: The few, the proud...
I have no doubts about your service, and respect and admire all that serve in the armed forces. Serving was not my path, but it was my father's, 4 uncle's , and my brother (who, in fact is in the Corps and served 3 tours in Iraq). So I'm well aware of the the men & mettle of those who serve.
My "ad hom" speaks to your current actions and frame of mind, not your honorable service. As you say, your (and all) honorable service cannot be tarnished. However, character can shrink and fade from its former honor.
You misunderstand me, my motives, and my understanding... To challenge me is fair and I'm ok with that. However, to continually challenge and make no effort to try and understand, and to call my sincere attempts to clarify the misunderstandings as "crap stirring". That frustrates me. It is not decent, not honorable, not honest, not respectful, and not Christian.
At best, we are at a place of agreeing to disagree. If you ever are interested in resolving that disagreement in a respectful, forthright, and honest manner, I'm open and easy to find.
Good day... And God bless.
