But...
-- Not referring Exclusively to a Particular Familial Lineage...?

It would depend upon the context.

Supporters of the Zadokite Lineage of High Priests...
Would also be called "Zadokites"...
However...
If they weren't actual Descendents of Zadok...
-- They wouldn't be allowed to minister in the Holy of Holies.

Ezekiel restricts the priestly privileges in his new commonwealth to the Zadokite family on the ground that they alone were innocent of apostasy under the Monarchy (Ezk. 44:15ff) In the second Temple the Zadokites retained the high priesthood continuously until 171 BC, when it was transferred to Menelaus by Antiochus IV; even after that a Zadokite priesthood presided over the Jewish temple at Leontopolis in Egypt until Vespasian closed it soon after AD 70. The Qumran community remaind loyal to the Zadokite priesthood and looked forward to its restoration.
-- New Bible Dictionary, Third Edition.
Historically speaking, the Zadokite Priesthood was very much a Family Dynasty.
