In my opinion however, "Christianity", during the 1st century when it was true, was simply a return to 5th century BC Babylonian "Judaism", when it was true. 5th century BC Babylonian "Judaism", was a return to faith in the Abrahamic Covenant. Faith which was lost during Solomon's reign.
True "Christianity", by whatever name it carried at any particular time, has always been the real, but unrecognized, thrust of the bible story. Everything else is interesting, but it is just filler.
