Hi Nucc:
As I have pointed out, the post-exilic emphasis of true Jews, was/is to build a body(assembly) for the christ to lead, and that means converting individuals. However, the purpose of converting individuals is to build the body of christ(an assembly), so that when the christ comes, he will have a body(assembly) to lead into battle(armageddon?) to take the land back and resurrect the kingdom(national assembly), to bless all the nations(national assemblies) with peace on earth(global assembly).
The individual is not important, but the larger assembly is. This is the very principle which caused Jesus' death. The chief priests and Pharisees concluded that it would be better to sacrifice one man(Jesus), than to have all the Jews killed by the Romans. Johm 11.
What do you think?
