To simply dismiss the truth of the use of Symbolism and the NEED for Proper Interpretation...
As being little more than... "an old priestly power game"...

-- THEY Were Written BY the OLD Priesthood.
The Very Texts Themselves WERE...
-- An Integral Part OF that "power game".

Opting "for an understanding of scripture, which is clearly understandable"...
