Response to amen, Brother Noob.
-even as a devout Christian- that there is only a very limited amount one can talk about if one is dedicated to being a "soul winner."
There's very little to talk about if one wants to talk about Christianity except to say how God changed your life or is changing your life. Since one doesn't want to change from being a Christian to being something else, these "changes" amount to virtual talk only.
Really, the emphasis on earliest Christianity was to fix a particular problem and all efforts were directed at achieving that goal.
Without goals, there's no point to Christianity.
It SHOULD be focused on fixing problems .. enhancing social skills, money management, psychiatric ... political ... whatever. But all of that stuff is considered to be "worldly."
Once a person is a Christian, he can essentially FORGET about talking his Christianity and just focus in on living more happily.
So the problem on those excruciatingly boring Christian forums is their focus on talking Christianity!~ There's nothing to talk about; it's all regurgitation ad-nauseum. Even Bible verse quoting is the same old, same old (and pats on the back for doing it!~)
It's really pathetic how so many Christians curtail their learning and development and curtail it so severely. (I think of one individual in particular who's been a Christian for 30 years already and "looks up to" Paster Jack as a seasoned, respectable "leader." My god, gimme a BREAK! Really? 30 years and so very little to show for it, intellectually?)
