Response to Yes and he may have

Is there really a safe way to smoke cigarettes?

My father died from lung cancer at 54. Smoked 2 packs a day for a vast majority of his life. When the cancer spread to his brain, he no longer recognized any of the family. Not even Mom. But he recognized cigarettes and was still addicted to them. His oncologist said it was already too late and to go ahead and let him smoke. Make the end as pleasant as possible for him.

I hate cigarettes with a passion.

It's funny how the government can make you wear seatbelts, even though not wearing them hurts no one else but yourself... yet they don't outlaw a product that kills thousands upon thousands of people every year. By their own hands.

Not that I'm in favor of outlawing cigarettes, or anything else for that matter. If someone wants to commit suicide a little bit at a time, who am I to stop them? I was just pointing out the governments hypocrisy with the seatbelt laws.
