I should be used to it by now but it always seems to hit me with a shock ... like a seasoned electrician getting zapped by the hot wires he's handling, after years on the job. I try to share something which seems worthwhile or insightful and give my reasoning, logic and evidence for it and I EXPECT that there will be a rebuttal. What always seems to hit me by surprise though, is that instead of showing me that I'm wrong about my presentation .... I'm personally attacked. It's a consistent pattern but I never seem to get used to it!~
It's as though an "unbeliever" has absolutely no right to any opinion unless it's sanctioned by the zealous Christian.
Here's a latest sample:
[You ask for things, then when it doesn't fit the way YOU want it to, you discount it. Why?
Because within YOUR HEART... you can deny it with your words all you want... the TRUTH is very clear from your interactions, especially here, in this dialog.
The church you belong to screwed you over, instead of getting the message that God wanted you to get, you tossed HIM out for their actions along with the church... Jesus had the MOST prosecution IN the church, not at the hands of the world... and those who loved him, turned their back on Him... you never got it, what the purpose of the "test" was Vince... you tucked your tail and ran. ]
So now ... something I attempted to share as an insight ... has turned into a personal judgment ON ME! Besides which, this gnosis of my personal life doesn't have a shred of validity to it but I suppose the author thinks she got it straight from "the Lord"!~
