That is possible that Nature does have an intelligence behind it and that humans just aren't intelligent enough to understand it. Well then, how do you know? How do you know there is an intelligence behind the universe? What evidence do you have to support this claim?
The only answer I've ever received from Deists to this question has been: Because there just HAS to be. There just HAS to be an intelligence behind it.
Coincidentally, this is also the answer I receive from Theists when I ask "How do you know your god is the one true god?".
I base my beliefs upon evidence. Not hypothetical situations.
Yeah, there could be an intelligence behind Nature even though no evidence exists to support this theory. This intelligence could also be the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I hope so...
I could use a beer from the Great Beer Volcano.
But then again, aren't you a human? And by your own hypothesis, being human prevents you from possibly knowing that there is an intelligence behind Nature? And if you do have knowledge of this supposed intelligence, then that means that some select
humans have some inside information to this intelligence?
Coincidentally, this is also the claim I hear from Theists.
