Response to Perhaps

I believe in God. I am confident in the existence of God because of my own personal experiences.

You don't believe in God -- you have not had the same experiences I have had.

There is no evidence I can provide to you for the existence of God. So to you, God is a meme or a "manier" (still have no clue what that word is supposed to mean), or whatever you want to call God.

I have no intention, nor have I tried to prove the existence of God to you. That is pointless.

I am a creationist, in that I believe in God, and I believe that God is the Creator of everything. I believe that the earth is extremely ancient, and I believe in the theory of evolution as far as I understand it. Even scientists don't understand if fully, and are still coming up with new discoveries and ideas about evolution. The Biblical account in Genesis is not a scientific record. It is allegorical, and the description of the beginning of the world as understood by primitive people.

My original statement was that I am a creationist, but I do not take the Genesis account literally. I don't see the contradiction in that.
