Response to concern for others


So the arguments & rhetoric have become about what we care about, not necessarily what is right, just, and true.

That makes a lot of sense and explains why there's so much disagreement and heated emotion around various debates as no two people really care about the same things, in the same way, with the same priorities. Of course each person believes that what they care about is "right, just and true", even when it sometimes isn't.

It also explains the divisiveness of nationalism, race, gender, ethnicity, et. al.

Not something I can solve, or would even attempt to solve. But hearing some rational thought from another perspective helps me understand better. Thank you.
