I don't see things that way. In my opinion, guilt comes from the ego when I think I can change by calling upon my own strengths and will power. This has never worked for me on the big stuff.
In my personal experience, when I admitted and accepted powerlessness over my weaknesses, that is when the guilt was taken away. Now I have quit beating myself up for my weaknesses and simply blame satan for everything that is beyond my control to change. After all, he is the enemy. May God's will be done, and not mine.
