Response to One!llife > icemanlife: Question!
--------------------------------------------------------
I still pay the library and hospital tax.
However,
I have and continue to lobby very hard
to limit computers and continue in
the purchase of quality books
for our libraries.

I have done and continue to do
the same for our school system.
It is unfortunate that math,
writing and the sciences
have fallen so far behind
in the U.S.
The continued use of
calculators and computers
in math classes is an absurdity.

My belief is computers have,
and perform, a invaluable service.
However, they appear to be
a end all solution to thinking.

One!life > My views are:(about this)

computers: "they appear to be
a end all solution to thinking."
"It is unfortunate that math,
writing and the sciences
have fallen so far behind
in the U.S."

In my situation, thinking is hard, in general for me.
(This very well may be, due to the 2 situations,
I was born into, which I have no control of
dishes were serve'd.)

Math: I'm not good at math - my brain
just doesn't want to learn some things.

I switch numbers and letters around.
I found out by take'n a basic educa. class
that when do'n a div. problem
1/2 way through it I do a mult.
and I get the answers all wrong.
(And the think'n kills me, while go'n through it.
I get all frustrated.)
(I guess some are ment to be doctors,
while other are ment to be other things,
there are just some things I can't do,
that I have no control over.

Reminds me of, the say'n Dr. Phil said
on his show once, you can't be reponsible,
for what you do, while your asleep.- my brain,
just won't wake up to somethings.)

Read'n: Due to letter switch'n this
and write'n is some what hard.
So takes me a bit longer to do.

I love books!

Computers: Due to my situtions
this helps (is easier to) corrects
the letter switch a bit.

I see what your say'n,
but some of the lax there of,
is do to uncapibity, (of me anyways).

iceman share'd > As for the U.S. healthcare system -
it is only equaled in corruption,
money grubbing and lack of concience
by our U.S congress.

The third leading cause of death in the U.S.
is doctors and hospitals.

More people are killed every year by U.S. healthcare
than auto accidents and guns combined. Really!

Stop and think about being charged $200.00
for a 20 minute visit
where the so-called physician
doesn't even look at your health history

and all you leave with
is a prescription for
a expensive dangerious chemical.

The AMA controls the requirements
for a person to become a M.D.
and the cost is so expensive
that few americans can afford,
or are willing to do it.
ONLY IN THE U.S.

The malpractice insurance claims
are another fraud.
The AMA owns and runs
the malpractice insurance company.

Less than 1 out of four mal-practice suits
ever go to court.

UNTIL WE HAVE A NATIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM
I AM AGAINST ANY TAXATION FOR HEALTHCARE.

And remeber the U.S. Congress
is trying to steal every dollar
we have paid into medicare
which is OUR money.

One!life > I have been afraid of dr. since I was a kid.
I hate shots, and for that reason,
I try to advode go'n to see them.

Hub (80) & I are pretty healthy.
(Don't get sick, too often-and can't deal
with not do'n things for myself.)
I have not seen a dr. since I broke my wrist,
back in the 90's (90-93)
So I don't have any (med-dr) bills!

So I'm not one to know about all
the pills(med-prescription) stuff.
I can't even take a vit. with out them
up-set my tummy.

I try to be carful what I do and don't eat.
and I try to think ahead if something will hurt me,
I try not to do it. So I don't get injuried,
I hate be'n hurt-blood makes me faint.
If I got hurt too badly,I would be out like a light.

I cut my nuckle wash'n dish as a child,
and the bone was stick'n out
and I can only remember a needle
be'n stuck into to num it.
and I was out again.
The smell is so awful I can't deal with it.
it turns my tummy.
(Boy am I glade the girly thingy is
over with-I like to never get through those days.)

But I hear what you say:
I've often wonder'd, if doctor make people,
more sick then they are,
so they can make more money, off of them.

My hubs aunt was a nurse
and she took a pill for everything.
Kind of like, she was adict'd to the things.

My sister runs to the dr for every little tiny thing.
(I would not be able to paid those kind of bills.
She is on Soc Sec her husband died of cancer in 96.)

I deal with my sickness pains, on my own
so I don't have to go, and so I won't have get a shot.
(Mind strategy I guess, that I have to stay healthy-
which very well, may be what others do, as well
when they get sick.
And then again maybe not,
depend'n on their illnesses!)

Well that was just my views,
on what you share'd, with me.

Love ya, icemanlife!
