Response to what color is Sky
Hi Bro Roy.
Technically color is an illusion of the chemicals reflecting certain colors of light off an object. Hence many creatures can change colors at will.
With a full proper light spectrum as with sun light, already contains all the colors as you can see in a rainbow or a prism. The water droplets in the air creating the rainbow simply by separate the light spectrum's so they are visible.
Same thing with a man made prism.
The sky appears blue because the ozone layer of gas around the earth filters out some of the other colors leaving the blue the prominent color that our eyes see.
If you go up in a air plain high enough and look up the sky appears black even in the middle of the afternoon.
Color is always first dependent upon the light source and the colors hidden in the light. Secondly color is dependent upon the chemical reflection of the object or gasses in the air.
In a room with no light everything is black.
In a room with only red light everything will appear as shades of red.
In a room with only blue light everything will appear as shades of blue.
In a room with only green light everything will appear in shades of green.
In a room with white light everything appears in there natural colors.
Because the white light already contains all the colors, but they are hidden.
All colors consist of mixtures of RED and BLUE and GREEN light.
So, when you see something green like plants, what you see is the plant absorbing the blue and red light and reflecting the green.
