DID the Essenes ever actually breed, groom and anoint a real guy to be their Messiah? If so ... where are the written records of that action and that man?
I mean ... you COULD be right but ... if there aren't any records of him ... what possible difference can it make to us today?
But ...
We seem to agree on one thing at least: Jesus of the NTestament was a fictitious construction.
Well, not quite (in my own opinion) ...
There seems to be some reference or factors in the writings which DO indicate a real person. However, I think that in the fictitious construction, they might have used a composite of different real persons as their template for construction.
