With our imagination we might decide that Allah is the one true god, or vishnu, or the rainbow serpent maybe.
^ That you said... How is that me "putting words in your mouth"?
Where did I say or imply that "Christian God is a fact"?" I don't believe that I've ever done such a thing. God is a belief, by definition. I've never stated or argued otherwise... To pose that I have is you "putting words into my mouth".
Regarding you point of being "confronted with a question"... It was you that asked for thoughts... I gave you mine. If you don't want to hear opinion contrary to your own, maybe you shouldn't ask for thoughts from others. Such a tactic of soliciting opinions and ideas, then pouncing all over them is a common tactic among close-minded fundamentalists of any ilk - political, religious, or otherwise.
Maybe it is you that is constructing the "strawman"... And it's quite possible that you're projecting your own dysfunctions towards those that you consider your "opposition". A rather common tactic on discussion forums; especially those with a religious, political, or philosophical contexts.
