Yes, everyone by now should be well aware that big businesses/big money/Wall Street are in charge. The 1% lording over the 99% -- and that's what the world wide occupy movements are all about.
BUT...that is not what Tim was talking about. Tim was suggesting that THC is a miracle cure for cancer and the government is suppressing it from the public, but somehow politicians are in on this miracle cure for themselves and that's why no politicians die of cancer.
Which is blatantly and demonstrably false. Politicians and their loved ones die of cancer. But likely none of them are without insurance, or wondering how they will be able to afford their co-pays.
Medical marijuana has many valid and legitimate uses -- they are studying its use for fighting cancer, and there are some promising results, but nothing definite.

And they are testing it by using specific isolated compounds found in cannabis, not by having volunteers smoke joints. Clearly that doesn't work -- Bob Marley died of cancer. Tommy Chong is treating his prostate cancer with hemp oil -- says he can't smoke anymore. Hopefully it helps him.
Medical marijuana -- and recreational marijuana for that matter -- are being lobbied against and suppressed by companies and industries that make a lot of money from marijuana being illegal. It's no big secret.
