The Historical-Grammatical Method of Bible Interpretation
The Historical-Grammatical Method of Bible Interpretation is the method used by the far majority of True Christian Theologians, Bible Scholars, and present day TRUE Christian Philosophers.
It is the method from which we get our CREEDS and ESSENTIAL DOCTRINES from. WITHOUT IT, there would be no ESSENTIAL DOCTRINES, such as the Deity of Christ, and the Trinity, etc. Another word more commonly used is the LITERAL METHOD and is itself an ESSENTIAL INTERPRETATION DOCTRINE.
WHAT THE LITERAL INTERPRETATION METHOD IS
The word LITERAL in Hermeneutics (the science of interpretation) means to interpret the Scripture in the LITERAL SENSE of the text you're reading as opposed to the NON-LITERAL or ALLEGORY SENSE.
It refers to the understanding of a text that ANY person of normal intelligence would understand without the help of any SPECIAL KEYS or BIBLE CODES.
NORMAL
Another way to describe the LITERAL meaning of Scripture is that it EMBRACES the normal, everyday, understanding of the terms in the Bible.Words are given the meaning they NORMALLY HAVE in common communication. This speaks of the BASIC, NORMAL, or PLAIN WAY of interpreting a Bible passage.
