      That's very likely the same kind of thinking that probably led fanatics to destroy all(?) writings they could find that did NOT agree with their own invented belief system's literature. Jesus wrote, if he wrote anything, in his own language, the Aramaic language, but the language of many Christians was Greek, not Aramaic, and they would think of Jesus' writings, if any, as the writings having to be destroyed.
