it's a perfectly valid argument that you're making into something else

something pretty stupid.

no one is 100% against censorship. i am against posts being needlessly deleted in an ever-expanding anal-retentive policy of making the forum more and more and more and more formal, not to mention policed and striken from the record by ted's retirement gestapo. that's far from an all-out cry against censorship, but yes, censorship is the game ted is playing.

now i wouldn't think you're too simple to figure that out, but here you are telling me not to talk about censorship, only i didn't bring it up, pete did, because he thinks telling mac and co. they are ass-holes for berating people about "thank you" is hypocritical because i'm "against censorship." well i am, but no one is 100%. there has to be some kind of reasoning. in this case, mine is that mac is absolutely crap about what to delete and what to leave there.

if pete had made this about how i'm hypocritical because i'm an ass-hole telling someone not to be an *******, he'd be right. only i'm fine with mac being an ass-hole, generally speaking. my complaint wasn't about him being an ass-hole, it was about his obsession with "thanks." and as far as keeping to my own rules, if mac wants to be an ass-hole there's no way i would tell anyone, including mac to delete such a thing.

but apparantly in order to have any stance on censorship, which again, i didn't make this about, i have to also like everything, otherwise i'm a hypocrite. i guess pete's reason has seen better days. and yours? well, everyone is entitled to miss what's going on now and then. pete's basically told me that in order to have a right to complain i have to not say anything. now that rpg, is the freaking paradox. think about it next time.
