I am a neighborhood 17 year old who is looking at possibly venturing into racing but didn't know what to do? I have followed Nascar and their top divisions as long as I can remember but have not made too many trips to Wall Stadium. I didn't know if you needed anyone for your team for local races or something. I only live one block over and hear your engines all the time. Glad to help with anything. E-mail back if possible.
Nice to see you in Busch North this year. Go # 43!!!
Yours in Racing,
Matt

Hi,
My name is Tina and I'm from Meridian Idaho, and I'm looking to find a friend that I have lost touch with over the years, I know this seems very wierd but I'm really hoping that I can get in touch with this person again, it been too long, His name is Darren Burdge and I know that he sometimes ( I think) races @ Wall Township. If there is anyway that you could give him my email. Tell him I'm looking for him that would be greatly appericated. Now I know this is kinda wierd so if you just delete this I will understand, but I'm really trying to find a friend that I should have never lost contact with and miss VERY much.
Thank You
Tina

Marc
Wanted to give you a shout out. Great website! I have to thank you also for always being a great sport no matter what the night outcome is. I have two young boys that haunt me all week to take them down to Wall Speedway to see you. We drive down from New York about two times a month, sometimes three. They wear the shirts you gave them and cheer you on and then beg to stay to visit you in the pit. Each and everytime they have you sign the weekly racing book. Your a great role model to them! Thanks!
P.S. Don't tell them that I love the races even more than them.. it will ruin the good "mommy" thing!! Have some great pictures of you and your fans taken on Fan Appreciation day.. don't know where to send them to you.

Brick driver captures his first opening-night win
By DON WILNO

WALL -- As Marc Rogers followed Harry Reed into the final lap of Saturday night's 35-lap modified feature at Wall Township Speedway, "I was thinking finishing second," he said. "And that would have been just fine."

Marc Rogers of Brick celebrates his win in the modified feature at Wall Township Speedway's opening night on Saturday.
Then, as Reed was coming out of the second turn, a half a lap from starter Floyd Goff's checkered flags, "I saw flames come out of (his) exhaust," Rogers said.
Starting from the pole, leading every lap and "just cruising," Reed said, his motor failed him, allowing Rogers to win the race.
"Awesome," said Rogers, who has never won an opening-night feature.
Following Rogers to the finish line was Shanon Mongeau of Matawan, who ran a strong race to stay right on Rogers' rear bumper, and Brick's Rich Mongeau, Shanon's father, who was third.
Defending points champion Dave Michel of Stafford twice had to start from the rear (once with a flat tire early in the race) and ended up sixth on a night when last year's points runner-up, Howell's Jimmy Blewett, sat out a one-week suspension.
"Something broke in the motor," lamented Howell's Reed, "something in the engine itself. I don't know if I broke a cam or what.
"The thing was on a rail. I was just cruising. We had a lot of racecar. I was just staying out of trouble," Reed said. "I am just snake-bit. I just can't catch a break."
Reed had several similar bad breaks last year.
"Somebody is trying to tell me something," said Reed, looking up at the night sky. He also was upset because his crew, including his modified-driving son, Steven, had worked so hard during the off-season to give him a top-notch performing car.
At the time of Reed's motor misfortune, Rogers had fallen back slightly because of lap traffic, which, he said, was lucky for him.
"If I were on his bumper, it could have been ugly," said Rogers. "I knew I wasn't going to get around him. Harry's real fast. There was no way I was going to get around him, unless lap traffic (got in the way)."
"I didn't want to drop too far back in case lap traffic played a role," Rogers added, noting the slower cars tend to play havoc with the leaders trying to get by at the most inopportune times.
When Reed's motor let go, "I got down to the bottom (of the track)," Reed said.
"I didn't want to mess Marc up," said Reed, who didn't even bother taking the checkered flag. He coasted off the backstretch into the infield, short of the finish line. He was officially listed as 14th, his Bay Transmissions car number, one lap down.
Rogers, 29 and married just five months, is thankful for the turn of events. He is running for the points title again this year. The Brick Township school bus mechanic was third in points last year behind Michael and Blewett.
"You got to be consistent," said Rogers, who went to his 2003 backup car this season. It is the modified he drove at Flemington Speedway in the late 1990s.
The victory, Rogers' first since June 8, 2003, was the sixth of his career at Wall.
"I've always wanted to come out and win the first one," he said.
