Cranbrook, BC -- Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced seven players will be attending five different National Hockey League Training Camps.

Forwards Ben Maxwell and Ryan Russell will be attending the Montreal Canadiens Camp while John Negrin will be participating in the Calgary Flames Camp. In addition, Steve DaSilva (Ottawa Senators), Clayton Bauer (Ottawa Senators), Chad Greenan (Detroit Red Wings), and Paul Kurceba (Florida Panthers) will also be participating in NHL Training Camps in September.

“It is very rewarding for these players to attend an NHL Training Camp. They all have a strong work ethic both on and off the ice and it will be a great learning experience which will carry into the upcoming season”, added Chynoweth.

A couple other ex players for the ICE trying to make their parent NHL clubs are Duncan Milroy, Nigel Dawes, Jeff Glass, Adam Taylor, Brett Sutter, Dalyn Flatt, Taylor Dakers, Adam Cracknell, Martin Sagat, Roman Polak, Brennan Evans, and Riley Armstong.
