I hope this will be the real start of Andrew's first class career. He got his maiden ton last year but although it was a good one, he started this season with an average less than 30. In our four championship matches this season he has two hundreds in six innings, 350 runs and an average of just under 60. The second hundred this season seems to me to be an affirmation that he has moved genuinely from the colts and taken his rightful place in the first XI. A continuation of his success will mean that we mentally regard him in the same light as McGrath and Rudolph when we look at the strengths of our side.
