What more can you expect from the ICC, after all this is the same organisation that recently changed the England v Pakistan match at the Oval 3 years ago to a draw. They could not organise a piss-up in a brewery. |

Is there any reason to suggest that Pakistan is any more or less dangerous than London? Isn't terrorism a fact of life these days - wherever you are?

the Foreign Office is advising "against all non-essential travel to parts of Pakistan" They don't actually say which parts and they make no mention of Ian Botham's mother-in-law. |

It isn't so long since the Government were advising against non-essential travel to parts of the UK falling within Northern Ireland but I don't remember the Aussies ever threatening to pull out of The Ashes... |

Maybe I was sleeping, but I don't remember a political leader being shot on the street,or all the English Judges being arrested lately!!! |

There was internment, no-go areas, hunger stikers dying, and terrorist outrages that killed hundreds of civilians...
I don't think we want to get into a "my terrorist outrage is bigger than yours" conversation, but Pakistan is a huge Country and while parts may be unstable I suspect large parts of it are fairly safe. It was strange that the players didn't seem to voice any security concerns when taking part in the highly lucrative 20/20 shindigs recently.. | |
