Adam:

Given Yorkshire's opening woes over the past two years, would you fancy opening the batting on a regular basis?

John:

Yorkshire seem to have a lot of promising bowlers on the team. Where do you feel you fit in, especially considering that you will be 29 before the season starts?

John Blain:

You have had some terrific career highlights: your being the youngest Scottish international since 1890; Your 10 wickets in the 1999 world cup, etc. What is your favourite career highlight?

Adam:
How many years have you given yourself to break into the England team?

John;
You must have been truly amazed to be re-signed by Yorkshire - as many of us were - what do you honestly feel you can contribute to a side full of so many excellent and promising young seam bowlers? Do you still harbour playing ambitions or have you been signed as a coach?

Question for Adam Lyth

November 5 2008, 1:35 PM

It is sometimes said that there is a bias against those born in Yorkshire but far from Headingley. I won't ask him whether he thinks this is true but I would like to know what particular problems - if any - he had in living in the NE of the county and getting into the Headingley coaching setup.
