Seems like it's all down to next month's ECB ruling on ICL players, if he is only out of the Twenty20 he will be back.

"Yorkshire chief executive Stewart Regan said: The latest news is that the ECB may only restrict Rana from playing in the Twenty20, in which case we could bring him over to play Championship, Friends Provident and Pro40.

If that is the case, we would bring him over so we, and him, could honour the final year of his contract.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting a bit tired of the Rana circus. Has any "Yorkshire" player been as big a hassle or shown so little respect for his contract or his duties as a player on our club?

I hope the ECB rules him ineligible and we can then get shut of him. I appreciate that Rana is no different than most 'hired bats' in that he is in it for the money, but this fiasco has gone on too long and is having a destabilizing effect.

Not knowing what our bowling resources will be, especially now with the season only three months away puts the team in a very difficult situation. If we need to find a replacement (Morkel), we need to do it soon, before he signs on with another team.
