It looks to me like we are witnessing a battle for control of cricket in England. The Daily Mail seems to agree.

Suddenly faced with the possibility of the Conservative's chief fundraiser, Giles Clark doesn't seem too bad...

In fairness, I think he handled Pietersen pretty well, and got the players back to India. I'm just not sure about his enthusiasm for Mr Stanford and his helicopter..

so KP, Moores already gone and Clarke about to have to fight off a 'stalking horse' for his job.

Boycs now calls for the removal of Morris and Collier.

You can see where this is going - Clarke loses out to the stalking horse who then sacks Morris and Collier and replaces them with a donkey and a cat (Tuffers?) in an attempt to follow the Aussie approach Boycs refers to. The donkey and the cat then reinstate KP (or Vaughan) as skipper and Andy Moles is appointed as coach.

Sounds all very Mickey Mouse to me - no doubt the new skipper will be out for a Duck in his first innings
