| I've received the following email from a mate who watches Leeds Rugby ... & I think its good news
I was talking with the head groundsman for the Headingley rugby ground today. When I asked him if he knew what the lowdown was regarding the outfield of the cricket ground he told me that due to wet and frosty conditions next to no work had taken place over the last 2'n'half months. There's no need to panic. They can start again seriously in mid March. Even if they put the new turf down as late as the day before our first home game the depth of it will support playing.

Reassuring, DP. Although I'll believe it when I see it. At least we have a webcam now to follow the progress. |

i suppose its natural for us Yorkshire folk to be pessimistic and cynical and doubt the ground will be ready in time. Hopefully the worst of the winter weather is now behind us and Mr Fogarty and the team can get cracking so we can see some progress over the next few weeks.
I also assume we have Scarborough on stand by in case of further inclement weather in February which causes delays etc.
