Us Poms are sometimes quick to bash the Aussies but the article below shows that they sometimes lead by example and have their priorities in order. Would we have seen KP, Freddie and the boys doing similar in England?

It would not surprise me to see some of their players in the IPL making donations to the charity funds around this - our players seem to begrudge giving 10% to their counties

Well done.

That's actually quite humbling. Well done Australia - and well done Leonard Cohen for donating 90,000 dollars from his recent gigs in Australia.

Our lads have done the same in the past

also did something similar for the 7/7 attacks iirc.

fair point

I suppose donating 50% of a match fee in India does show our boys in a decent light but it then gets overshadowed by their IPL money greed and moaning about paying money to their counties etc

With the Aussies its not just the financial contribution they made but also the fact that they have gone and visited the people affected and had an impromptu game with them that impressed me.
