The webcam no longer appears to be "live" - that is unless its light all night in Yorkshire these days.

Watching from Australia.

It's the latest Govt initiative to beat the credit crunch. 24hr daylight. We work all day for the same wages... Productivity is up but costs stay the same. No-one sleeps and the birth rate has plummeted..

not sure about rest of you but when I have my daily glance at the webcam i see relatively little action going on anywhere - perhaps someone has put a photo of a still scene in front of the camera and no one has realised it?

I think James Buttler should go round in front of the camera (well after his recent TV showing he should be used to it by now) and give us daily updates on who is in the ground today and doing what work.

Yup it's still daylight at 7pm in Leeds. and those two diggers haven't moved for days.
Perhaps James is doing it on purpose. He's going to suddenly update it and it'll be a field of lush green...

A ten minute test at Leeds and then five days at Scarborough sounds good to me. All we have to do is move the sand west along the A64.

Experienced a technical problem this week - we should be back to normal tomorrow.

technical problem?

February 27 2009, 7:54 AM

Maybe we have run out of film for the camcorder or had the electricity cut off at Headingley for not paying the bills? Or has someone stolen the webcam from the top of the rugby stand?

Or is it just a cover to actually make us think some work is going on when the reality is that nothing is actually happening?

Like British Rail's excuses, a technical problem could cover one of many things and we should demand answers!
