Is Pietersen going to be dropped? (Should he be dropped?)

I'm getting sick of the Pietersen affair. I think he should be dropped and Vaughan brought back in his place.

KP

I really think someone needs to tell KP to just steer clear from making comments on anything at the moment and keep his head down for a while.

Whoever his agent is cannot be worth his 10% cut as he cannot be giving him decent advice.

Wants to leave the tour but will then play in the IPL? Of course, its in South Africa now so he will be amongst his old friends

Missing his wife? Lets hope they don't start a family soon or he will be missing the kids as well.

I can just hear Boycs and Fred moaning about leaving home in September after scoring 2000 runs in a county season or bowling 1000 overs and getting on a boat to Australia for a long tour not returning til April.

Lots of similarities between Boycs and Pietersen. Best batsmen, both alledgedly promised the captaincy and freedom to do things their own way, both then denied the captaincy, both bitter and said things they maybe shouldn't.

Surely the powers that be have learn't something in the last thirty years? I doubt it because they are two thirds down the same road already. All it needs now is for Pietersen to withdraw for three years and the replay is complete.

There's one very large difference between Boycs & Pietersen ... I couldn't see Geoff missing 3 weeks of the season to play in the IPL

moaning about missing his wife.

Boycs was married to cricket during his playing career whereas KP is married to whatever suits him on the day.

I rather hope that his beloved Jessica has not actually missed her hubbie one jot whilst he has been away and she has been pirouetting round the ice rink with a different partner

Here, here. To compare a mercenary and prima donna like KP with Fred or Geoff is a travesty, especially for anyone with pretence of being a true Yorkshireman.
Top Aussies are showing KP and AF what the Ashes really means to their country.

Glad to see MV being selected for MCC match. He is needed as England's No 3 at least and to help Strauss with his captaincy, which has not started very well.
Rashid deserves chance which he has been denied in West Indies - why did they take him, if he was considered below even Batty, a mediocre bowler, batsman and fielder. Hopefully Rashid has learnt something and not lost his confidence.

Best wishes,

Alan
