Bopara to play in the FPT; Bressy???

"England batsman Ravi Bopara is the only member of the first Test squad free to play for his county on Sunday, at his own request."

There certainly seems to be a sliding scale when it comes to whether or not the Test players can play in the next round of FPT matches. Hopefully, Bressy will ask to play for his county team, especially since he gets an extra day's rest, and THE TEAM NEEDS HIM!

Bressy should play

Not to be churlish but the TEST match ended in three days., and Bressy was hardly worked to death: he bowled all of 9 overs and faced 16 balls in his one innings. With an extra day to "rest" he should ask to play for Yorkshire and he should be playing for Yorkshire! This will be a good test of both his character and his committemnt to Yorkshire. Hopefully, he won't take the "Gough approach" and look for any and all reasons NOT to play for his county.

Bressy should play

It really would reflect badly on Bresnan if he doesn't play. It seems fairly clear that the players are having a big say in whether they play for their counties this weekend.

He's almost certain to be dropped for the next test anyway. Bell and Sidebottom have both been recalled. Makes his exclusion from Yorks even more crazy.
