Yorkshire would appear to be in the clear now that Rana Naved has been released from his ICL contract. (I hope!) Link to story

This has all the makings of another Yorkshire fiasco. I can see it now, we play Rana, we then somehow qualify for the final via Duckworth/Lewis, rain reduced games and bowling six balls through hoops on a plot of land that used to be the winter shed. We then lose in the final but qualify as a second entry into the champions league and then the BCCI turn round and say Rana's paperwork wasn't quite correct and refuse us entry into the competition. We then sue, lose again and have to sell the ground back to Carrick to cover court costs.

Sorry K1 but cant resist .... the late lamented Fergie (Phil Carrick) had many things going for & aginat him ... bit owning Headingley wasn't one of them .. I think you mean Leeds Rugby's owner who is Caddick.

A little typo there I'm afraid. Just been reading about Carrick before I posted in a book I won in a competition recently and his name obviously stuck;-)
