i posted yesterday the covering of the square and surrounds looks inadequate. in the north of the area it rained all day yesterday and all night very hard but durham started play and we are still waiting. it needs looking into.

from official site, the umpires were concerned about the bowlers run ups.... for goodness sake it is obvious the covers are not extensive enough, spend a few bob and save hours of frustration.

I must admit to getting rather worried about this this. When I mentioned the run ups to people who were at Saturday's play they all disagreed. All thought that the problem was a damp patch at the Football Stand end ... walking onto the outfield caused water to be pushed up.
