Happy Yorkshire day to one and all. We are still the best at everything but if we didn't let the other boogers win from time to time they'd stop playing against us!

I'm having roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding tonight and a Yorkshire Pudding with stew tomorrow. Sunday lunch brought forward a day to celebrate the day and the stew to slowly cook whilst I'm off playing cricket on my farewell tour tomorrow!
I'm all alone at the moment as my partner is in Kenya doing some charity work for an orphanage. Don't feel too sorry for her because she's Lancastrian and it will no doubt be posh living to her until she found Yorkshire! Don't feel sorry for me either because I'm in the greatest place God ever invented.

Good one.

I'll be having Curry to reflect the new face of modern multi-cultural Yorkshire.
You're a lucky man to have such an excellent partner - even if he/she is a lancastrian..

Cuisine and Roses War

August 1 2009, 8:28 PM

My wife, the daughter of a Barnsley lass, swapped roles with me 12 years ago. She is, and has long been, the bread winner, whilst I, pretend-baker, "maid of all work" and master chef, produced for this Yorkshire first, a stir-fry of beef with vegetables and egg noodles.

In Leeds it rained all day and at Old Trafford it rained enough.

In Roses terms it is:

"A long time ago the world began....
For the rain, it raineth every day!"
