Not mentioned in the article are the ACTUAL results of the recent opening partnership: 35, 26, 15, 9, 0, 9, 47, 0, 14, 35, 9.

Overall on the season Sayers and Rudolph have put up only THREE 50+ partnerships in 18 first wicket partnerships.

The average for the first wicket is 34.6 per wicket, well below the typical county average of about 50. I believe Yorkshire's openers are at the bottom of the league table based on average runs per wicket

Those figures do not lie. We HAVE NOT solved the opening problem despite the T&A report stating the contrary.
