open the innings with Sayers ? nearly averaging 50 this year with one century and an unbeaten 80+ against Sussex. Also came in as a nighwatchman early in the innings in one match and did very well.

AND there is a good precedent for this ... another Yorks slow bowler who started no 11 for England and later opened with Hobbs ...

What do people think ?

This isn't a new idea ... it first surfaced when we played Noots at Scarborough ... in July !! Not 100% sure ... & it wont happen this season as it was decided that Rudolph would open with Sayers ... & they aren't going to change their mind now
