Don't forget to vote on the official website - poll closes at midnight tomorrow.
Perhaps we should have our own poll as well Alex at some point over the weeks ahead? Just for the sake of being contrary.......

well they have been really helpful and narrowed it down to a long list of aboput 13 players - if your'e not listed you must either be dead or had a really bad season.

Its actually far harder than you think to pick out a player of the season as they have all done well on occasions but no one has done consistently well enough to be an obvious pick.

Rudy over 1000 runs but lots of ducks.
Sayers over 1000 runs but on occasions at a slow pace and he has not played much 1 day.
Mags - no comment needed
Gale - improved but still some way to go
Bairstow - promising start but not over the whole season.
Bresnan - not sure how his form got him England selection
Rashid - great finish to his season with us but early season he struggled
Hoggy - coming good now but sometimes looked to be over the top and unless he had the new ball he was not interested in bowling
Shahzad - most improved and mainly due to fitness being sustained
Brophy - most consistent but injury prone
Wainwright - got my vote as he has taken the chances given to him, done well with bat and ball and got us out of the mire on more occasions than others.

I don't think anyone deserves the accolade ... to repeat myself ... one game's star has often been the next games dummy

Voted for Wainwright.

It doesn't feel right voting for someone who hasn't featured for all the season but he's the only person that has taken the opportunity with both hands and become a match-winner.

Agreed - he may not have played as many games as others but its hardly his fault that the selection panel have made poor decisions.

When he has played he has shone and dare i say it, consistently

I have also voted for David Wainwright, he has been consistently outstanding. Surely he will be capped along with Shazad tomorrow morning!!
