Can't believe that Durham, with all their quick bowling talent available want another one........... unless they expect to lose Onions to England and Harmison to retirement? Can't see both of them playing for England in the same side too often.

i can believe it.

Durham do not rest on their laurels and when they won the title in 2008 they still went and strengthened their team for 2009 with the hire of Blackwell - who has proved to be a very astute signing.

Next season I think Onions and Plunkett may be in the England mix but not necessarily Harmison. If harmi knows he is finished with England then does he have the desire to play a whole season on the county circuit?

Would Hoggy strengthen their team? Of course he would just like he would improve any other county side as well.

Last winter we recruited nobody new and as a result we will end up in roughly the same situation as we did in 2008. Plenty of promise, near misses, developing youngsters but no trophies.

Getting to the top is the easy part, staying there is the hard part and Durham seem to be on the ball in this regard.
