To me, and probably quite a few on the forum, it is utterly unthinkable that McGrath could be captain next year. His failings as a captain are plain for all to see, every game.

I think he has a couple of seasons left as a batsman, but not as our captain.

Agree with YC about Mags as a captain .. he's not been up to the job & its cost us our of our better batsmen... but provided he regains his form Anthony has more than 'a couple of years left'

We need to change either captain or coach.

I'd change the coach. This could bring in new, fresh and outside ideas. I think in that environment, Mags could be a good bridge between old and new.

McGrath needs to sit down with some experienced campaigners, and work on some strategies to make things happen and get wickets.

He doesn't seem to know how to change thingss, or his fields according to the states of games, which is infuriating.

For instance, in both innings at Hove Murray Goodwin arrived at the crease an over before tea, but the field was not changed to attack him.

And if you are taking the new ball, then attack whilst it is new for eight or so overs.
