Not quite as interesting as the game at Headingley this week but perhaps our committee should be watching with a close eye to identify next years overseas fast bowler.

Current game is Sri Lanka v the Saffers and the Sri Lankans are off to a flyer at 105-1 off 15 overs. Some bloke called Dilshan already 60 odd not out.

Fast bowlers on display include Steyn (yes please), Parnell (may be snapped up by Kent already) and the other Morkel (no thanks as hes just gone for 16 off one over!).

Malinga the only Sri Lankan we should have any interest in but not sure his action would survive a full county season without him doing himself a serious injury.

I've got a soft spot for young Angelo Mathews. I always prefer overseas players with something to prove and a career to make.
