| "c Marsh b Lillee" appears in the record book 95 times, more than any other combination in Test history. Can someone tell me what wicketkeeper-bowler combination appears most often in YORKSHIRE CCC history?

well by the law of averages you would have to assume the bowler was either Rhodes or Hirst purely based on how many wickets they took.
Therefore the keeper may be David Hunter although Rhodes and Hirsts careers may have spanned across several keepers (Dolphin, Wood etc).
In more recent times the most likely would be c Binks b Trueman presumably.
I suspect some other posters will know the definitive answer (Dews, Steve, Tony C, Californian Scarborian?) |

NO IDEA.
I bet Alex Roberts is working on it already.. |

Nice question from Gerald, and I like Triple C's speculative answer.
I don't have anything definitive to offer, but if you look at Jimmy Binks's most successful season (1960), you see that, of his 96 dismaissals in the 1st-class matches in which they both played, one third (32) were off Fred Trueman.
How representative that ratio is I don't know, but if it's a fair reflection, then it would be reasonable to assume that, of Binks's 814 catches for Yorks until 1968 (Fred's last year, practically speaking), roughly 270 would have read: "c Binks b Trueman". |

A great question. But remember Hirst and Rhodes were spinners. Most of their wickets were LBWs or bowled outs. I'd bet it was c Binks b Trueman. |

I don't expect c. Guy b. Rana will pose much of a threat. |

the interesting one would have been
c Bairstow b Sidebottom
as it may have had the advantage of doubling its potential if Ryan had stayed with Yorkshire! | |
