Thanks for that Stu-and for being the only person below me in our league. Or will you be blaming that on your lad?

No it`s me. The "Wiggy Whackers" are failures at the moment. The two sides doing better than me are my sons!!

I'd like to thank my wife for her support during what has been at times a troubling 4 weeks, Stu for making it all possible, my family, friends and honored members of the forum.

A special mention to my captain Marcus and the Taunton wicket for an exceptional week.

(Thought I'd get me speech in now as I don't expect to get another mention.)

A vg week for you Geoff, over 1000 points like the leader. I also had a good week with over 1000 points, but I was second bottom so now a bit better at 21. Alex Lees did me proud.

It's actually my wife's team that is top at present as the team name suggests. I paid for the Telegraph's 3 team package and it doesn't let you change the "Manager's" name much to her disgruntlement. Picking Cook as captain was the key to the early lead, things might change now he has to be replaced. Much family rivalry as I'm lagging in third, my master stroke of bringing Joe Root in as captain this week didn't exactly go to plan - I had two reasons to have head in hands at Trent Bridge when he walked off on Monday morning - but I'm trusting him to come good against Surrey.

Things always go pear shaped for me when the 50 over comp starts so don't expect to be flying high for too long. I just stick with my C Championship side. What's the answer? Wholesale changes mean all transfers gone before the season is half done.

Test cricket

May 7 2016, 8:57 AM

In't old days when I played this game you used to get double points for any runs/wickets your players scored in test cricket. Looking at the rules now if they get picked for England you have to get them out of your team. No wonder the transfers are so generous.

On the question of the 50 comp messing things up, it's still pretty much proper cricket (some may have other views) so maybe when you ship your England players out you can replace them with players who slightly lean towards the 50 over game but still play CC.

The T20 team is now set up, if anyone has saved some credits.

Name = 20 White Roses

Pin nr = 8033641

Matches start 20/5, and our first match is 27/5 v Leics at Headingley.

Our second match is televised by Sky (away v Worcs on Thurs 2/6).

And our 3rd match is also televised on 3/6, the Roses match at Old Trafford.

After 5 rounds of matches in the CC, the White Rose Forum team is in 31st place overall with 4202 points (up 24 places from last week). Brilliant!!

Top 6 (from 30).

Manager Team name Total Week Overall Pos
1 Andy Peters Mr Clumsy's Club 4552 1275 340
2 Shaun Fisher Cow Corner 4370 1005 561
3 Andy Peters Julie's Jumble 4226 438 781
4 Keith Aconley Long Leg Louts 4044 1127 1201
5 John Mitchell Ooh to be a 3822 1044 1838
6 Ian Holt MGH XI 3742 786 2125

The top 3 are the same as last week. Geoffrey, Alec & Ian Brear go out of the top 6 and are replaced by Keith, John & Ian Holt.

3 in the top 1000 nationwide. Excellent!!

I guess it`s time to remove the test players now, so I assume we are all scratching around for another keeper.

Willey and Jonny out of my team from today!!

Although a big Cas fan, I take little pleasure from last nights result. A win is fine, but stuffing someone like that is never good. It happened three weeks to us v Hull KR and I know exactly how you must be feeling. It aint good!! Just what is going wrong there? Must be worrying for you and other Leeds fans. Hope you win ALL your remaining games.
