yeah, but it really does not matter now.

we batted way too long, has to be a draw now. maybe only 1 hour left in this game.

Weather forecasting is not an exact science. First we are told the rain comes at four then at 2pm it could come within the hour. Bit difficult to criticise the timing of the declaration in those circumstances.

I'm surprised that Hampshire are being so negative - its a very achievable target and for all we know it might not rain again....

sure its not an exact science, but its pretty good. all forecasts are for rain after 3, maybe it will hold off till 4, but no later. just as sure as we know it will be dark at 10 tonight, so we know it will rain after 4.

but you are right, no way could we have engineered a win today. lost too much time yesterday

Hants just blocking now (13runs off the last 10 overs) and playing for the draw. Pity really, as we have more chance of winning if they go for it. Just hope that Warwicks don`t get back on and win, or the Championship could well be down the pan!!

I think we can safely say that Hampshire are not the slightest bit interested in chasing - required rate now ABOVE five an over.

Tea at 3.10 in Birmingham. If they get back on 40 overs after tea but another weather front looming apparently. This according to the cricinfo live blog

looks ok to me at Birmingham but weather fronts are swirling around so anything could happen, imo looks around 20/30 overs or maybe the light will come into play if they have the same rules as we had yesterday.

More likely to rain at Southampton than at Birmingham.

Similar situation in both games but weather likely to be the deciding factor - two draws still most likely

Brooks strikes twice in quick succession ...59/3 and 42 overs to be bowled.

Get rid of Vince and Ervine fairly quickly and could be very interesting.

Sadly, the radar seemed to suggest rain - terminal rain - any time at Eastleigh. Middlesex start at 3.45 and have 36 overs. The weather is around in Birmingham but may skirt to the south of Edgbaston.

Brooks on fire...74/4 gets Vince. What was Vince playing at? 15 in 11 balls then out.
