Notts inching towards a 200 lead. But seven down now. Wonder how many Middlesex would fancy chasing down?

Would make Middlesex favourites at moment but not by much.

You have the added issue that nobody is scoring particularly quickly on this wicket either. The more condensed Notts can make the run chase, the better.

Notts last pair in, 229 ahead. Hope the pitch is deteriorating....

235 the target then, over to you Jake Ball another hat trick in the first over if you don't mind

Whatever the result the game at Trent bridge is a wonderful testimony for the county game with three completed innings with scores of 240 241 and 247.

Finely balanced, fair track and fiercely competitive.

As long as Middlesex all out for under 230 it will be wonderful

Would say 60/40 in Middlesex favour at Trent Bridge.

Has all the makings of a cliff-hanger at Trent Bridge.
Surrey seem to be out of the contest vs Hants.

Middlesex-Notts game so nicely poised. You'd make Notts slight favourites but I've got a feeling about Middlesex, they seem to be able to pull these close wins out of the bag this season and they bat deep...

That is the third ridiculously spin-friendly pitch Somerset have prepared this year, I know that the ECB are keen to encourage spin in county cricket but if they don't get a deduction for this one it's a joke. Providing conditions so conducive to spin that even mediocre bowlers or 18 year old kids on debut can run through batting line-ups doesn't even help develop spinners anyway.

More failures for Bell against spin incidentally: 0 and 1 in this match following his tortuous 19 off 120 balls last week. He is not a viable option for the India tour.

No points deduction for Somerset gives Warwicks "carte blanche" to produce a Taunton-type wicket in what could be a relegation decider against Lancashire.

The could hardly dock Warwicks points if Somerset weren't punished.

I wonder if Mick Hunt has prepared two tracks under orders (from the ECB of course and not Middlesex) and the one we play on in the final game depends on the table at the time?
