Fifty players lined up for various gigs by the ECB pathway system for on Lions squad through to some overseas placements.

All counties represented so on average you might expect 2 or 3 per county. Perhaps in view of our success a few more?

Nope. We have one representative in young Harry Brook.

Admittedly we have six in the top set touring this winter. But it's a worry that our pipeline of talent is thin on the ground unless the ECB are not picking our lads for other reasons. Cue conspiracy theories....

I can't believe Matt Fisher is not in there, anywhere. He was the English star (with Duckett) of the U19 World Cup before last, selected in the 'team of the competition' when only 16 (I think), now he seems to have slipped behind the Currans and Mahmoods of this world. George Garton is in, but no Jared Warner.

Couldn't see Alex Lees anywhere, either.

Conspiracy theory? Conspiracy hypothesis? Law of Conspiracy even - Yorkshiremen have to be twice as good as everyone else to get noticed.
