India U19 v England U19's.

February 7 2017, 5:19 PM

Bet Mathew wishes he'd missed the 4th game too, England got mullered by 230 runs.

Bowling figures 41 for 0 off 8 overs, it could have been a lot worse, india scored 382/9.

Not a happy game for Harry Brook either, given out LBW for a duck.

Final 50 over game tomorrow.

Matthew missed the last 2 matches injured. Is he too injury prone?.

Most worrying this for the lad.

The litany of injuries is, I fear, becoming chronic. It puts me in mind of the early careers of two former YCCC players; F S Trueman and P M Hutchinson. Fred had the physique and the bodily strength to overcome the stresses of bowling, but the wiry Hutchinson did not. This lad is taller than Fred, but thicker-set than Hutchinson. It will be very interesting to see which way it goes.

What a great comparison and logic that is.

Handle with care and give him time. He's barely finished growing and certainly not settled into his adult physique yet.
